The Doodler
The Doodler, or the Black Doodler, is an unidentified serial killer believed responsible for 14 slayings and three assaults of men in the gay community of San Francisco, California between January 1974 and September 1975. The nickname was given due to his habit of sketching his victims he would meet in a bar to initiate conversation. They would be flattered and he would end up having sex with them and then stabbing them to death. He met his victims in Gay nightclubs, bars and restraunts. There were three survivors of the Doodler’s attacks, but the case has still never been solved due to the survivors not willing to testify in court as they didn’t want to “out” themselves. Although the police have never released the names of any suspects they may have had, they did release a composite sketch.
